To be considered for this role, you’ll need to meet at least one of the following academic criteria:
OUR REQUIREMENTS
We’re looking for candidates with a strong academic background, including:
A graduate degree in engineering from a reputable HEC-recognized university
A master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or Finance from a reputable institution
Membership in a recognized professional accounting body
A civil service background as a BPS-21 or above officer (serving or retired), or equivalent public sector experience.

As the Chairman of WAPDA, you’ll play a vital role in:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading Water Resource Development: Overseeing water resource development and power generation across Pakistan, driving the nation’s progress.
- As WAPDA’s Chief Executive Officer, you’ll provide strategic leadership, overseeing technical, financial, and administrative aspects to drive the organization’s success. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping Pakistan’s water and power future.
- Collaboration and Partnerships: Building strong relationships with government departments, international donors, ministries, and agencies to deliver water and power projects.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensuring adherence to WAPDA’s founding legal framework and regulatory requirements.
- Operational Excellence: Managing project planning, budgeting, finance, HR, and procurement functions to drive efficiency.
- Project Delivery: Ensuring timely and cost-effective completion of mega infrastructure projects, such as dams and hydropower stations.
- Additional Responsibilities: Carrying out special assignments from the Ministry of Water Resources or Federal Government, contributing to national development.
